Top 15% Benchmarks for Germany

For the taxonomy-related economic activity 7.7. „Acquisition and ownership of buildings” and a significant contribution to the environmental objective of “climate change mitigation”, the taxonomy requires, among other, evidence that buildings constructed before December 31, 2020 either are Energy Performance Certificate Class A, or that the building belongs to the top 15% of the national or regional building stock in terms of primary energy demand.

On behalf of vdp, Drees & Sommer – a German service provider for the construction industry – has developed corresponding key metrics that can be used for classification purposes within the top 15 % for various property asset classes.
